Cameron Moll Colosseo iPad Martian Giveaway

Illustration

It took Cameron Moll 250 hours to craft this letterpress poster, carefully recreating the Colosseum in characters from the typefaces Goudy Trajan and Bembo Pro. It’s clearly a work of passion and the level of detail should make any typographers heart beat faster. Make sure to check out the site dedicated to the project for more background on the process. So what’s with the “Martian” and “Giveaway” in the title? Those bits will hopefully help me win an iPad in his current contest to promote the piece.

Illustration This series of prints is beautiful. The way Joshua Davis works is that he writes code that creates colorful compositions based on a set of given rules, shapes and colors and a good dose of randomness. He runs this code many times and uses the resulting layers to create the final compositions.
