Seeing the impressive solar imagery released yesterday by NASA and the activity going on around Earth Day today made me think of the classic video “Power of 10” as a reminder of how small of actors we are in the big picture. And to give today’s special honoree some space, here’s also a nice full-width image of our lovely planet.

Architecture Intriguing Japanese architecture that makes the most of the limited space available in Tokyo by using open, interconnected spaces to blend all the rooms in the house together. The result is beautiful although it's impossible to tell from the beautiful imagery how usable the space is due to the focus on structure.
